Good News: Public Universities Should Admit Students with D7 In WASSCE-Minister of Education

Ghana’s Minister of Education, Dr.Yaw Osei in a press briefing held last week has charged all public tertiary institutions to admit students with D7 in the West African Senior High Schools Certificate Examination(WASSCE).
According to the Education Minister, Public Institutions should create innovative programs for those students to access tertiary education.
This decision, if fully implemented, will help a lot of WASSCE graduates who are currently in the house because they have recorded D7 in any of the core subjects stated earlier in this article.

Public Institutions Admission requirements
Generally, Public Institutions in Ghana only admit students with A1-C6 in Core Subjects i.e Integrated Science, English language, Social Studies, and Mathematics.
In addition, three credit passes are in the elective areas of the applicants.
