University of Ghana and KNUST is offering academic programs that lack accreditation.
Revelations are showing that 374 Academic programs offered by the university of Ghana are lacking accreditation according to the 2022 Auditor-General’s report. Out of 374 Academic programs,14 are Diploma programs, and 80 programs are undergraduate courses. 67 are Ph.D. programs and the rest 213 are postgraduate accredited courses.
The report shows that, out of 360 programs,61 courses do not lack accreditation, and 190 are undergoing accreditation and reaccreditation at National Accreditation Board.109 are not yet sent for accreditation at NAB. It has been stated clearly by the report that, the school’s management committee should stop offering the courses that lack accreditation until it is done rightfully.

YEA Announces Recruitment Of Community Police Assistant & Health Workers 2022
The management of the Youth Employment Agency has officially opened the online portal for the recruitment of Community Police Assistants and Community Health Workers across the country.
According to the Youth Employment Agency, this initiative is part of an effort to reduce the high level of graduate unemployment, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in line with the YEA Act 2015 (Act 887), oversees the development, coordination, supervision, and facilitation of employment for the youth and related matters in Ghana.

The management of the Youth Employment Agency in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service rolled out the CHW Programme in line with Regulation 1(b) of the Youth Employment Agency Regulation 2016 (L.I. 2231). The Community Health Workers (CHW) Programme seeks to augment the community health workforce to improve access to health services in rural communities and contribute to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and responding to COVID-19.
Qualification
Must be in the ages of 18-35 years (females are encouraged to apply)

New Date For Payment Continuous Professional Development Allowance For Teachers 2022
Here is the latest update on the payment of Continuous Professional Development Allowance for teachers in both public basic and Senior High Schools in Ghana.
The Leadership of all Teacher Unions in a joint press release signed by Thomas T. Musah, General Secretary, GNAT wishes to officially inform all stakeholders of this year’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Allowance for Teaching Staff of Ghana Education Service as stated in Section 16.0 of the 2020 Collective Agreement for Teaching Staff within the Ghana Education Service.
New Date For Payment Of Teachers Continuous Professional Development Allowance
According to the Teacher Unions, it is hoped that Continuous Professional Development Allowance would be paid before the end of 31 December 2022.
What is Continuous Professional Development Allowance?
is a collective agreement between Teacher Unions and the management of the Ghana Education Service to pay teachers for undertaking a professional course.
How Much Is The Continuous Professional Development Allowance?
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Allowance ( subjected to review) will be paid as a one-off payment at the rates of GH₵1200 and GH₵800 per annum to Professional Teachers and Non-Professional Teachers respectively.
Professional developments focus on building the capacity of teachers rather than imposing training on teachers.
The management of the Student Loan Trust Fund has disbursed a total of eleven Ghc11.2 million as payment of loans to some students in both private and public tertiary institutions in the country. This was disclosed by the Trust Fund on Tuesday.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Student Loan Trust Fund, Nana Kwaku Agyei Yeboah, a total of 10,000 students from 182 tertiary across the country are to benefit from the fund which has been released to various beneficiaries’ accounts.
Mr. Nana Kwaku Agyei Yeboah has revealed that the disbursement of the fund follows the completion of the latest applications received by the SLTF after the release of the first chief of payments of GHc12 million to applicants in July.

In his address, the Registrar of the National Teaching Council, Dr. Christian Addai-Poku, acknowledged the tremendous roles teachers play in the socio-economic development of the country. He added that the Ghana Teacher Prize is a way of motivating teachers for their selfless service to mother Ghana. Dr. Addai-Poku announced that to acknowledge and appreciate outstanding leadership traits in Ghana’s educational sector, a new award category has been added which is the ‘Teacher in Leadership’ award. The Most Outstanding Teacher in Leadership will get a saloon car, First Runner-up gets a cash prize, Second Runner-up gets a cash prize.
Other major categories of the awards are the Most Outstanding Teacher who gets a 3-bedroom apartment, with the First Runner-up getting a 4×4 Pickup vehicle, and the Sea cond Runner-up also going home with a Saloon Car.
For the Non-teaching category, the Best Non-teaching Staff will be awarded a car, the First Runnegets cash prize, and the Second Runner-up who gets a cash prize.
